2-D games remakes

So my question is...is there any Final Fantasy game from the old 2-d era (I-VI) that you would love to see remade with awesome graphics, newly arranged music, and totally revised and rewritten (for the better) dialogues and story? And if so, why?

My choices would be Final Fantasy VI (of course) but also IV. I don't know if it's because I've been loving dragon knights for a very long time, but that game has really captivated me, and the thing I most regret about it is the graphics not showing enough of the characters.

I'm sure I'd be totally psyched if they announced an official remake of any of the Pre-PSX Final Fantasy titles, however, honestly I don't particularly want them to remake anything. I'd rather the time and creative energy went to new projects and new installments to the series.

Id like to see VI remade but Id much prefer a remake of VII. That remake of the opening for the PS3 was just a big fat burn from Square to FFVII fanboys worldwide if you ask me.

Yeah. I think it'd be more prudent to re-do 7. As wonderful as it was (I liked the squatty deformed [fat hands? pointy feet?] models for characters) was a huge jumble of sprites, models, renders, and whatnot. 6 was consistent in its graphics (not that it really couldn't have been). 7 needs to get some consistency thrown into it. Or at least a little polish. But really... being one of my top 3 favorite RPGs of all time; I can't really complain either. I don't know HOW it worked. It just did o_O; But still, my other two (FF6 and Xenogears) were very consistent in their graphics and imagery and such.

FF I & II. Those games were what got me into Final Fantasy in the first place. I loved the opening movies in Origins, and it would be so cool to see the whole game like that.
