well i went to school in a state school. i live in area with the poorest growth and highest unemployment in my country. i got support for my disability there. i come out with grades in my 5th year to get me into the best university here for my course. that is not a poor system.

if you want proof that state schooling works. look at cuba's literacy rates. look at the doctors they produce. providing everyone in that country with exemplery education for free is why it has the highest literacy rate in the world.
