What do you mean it was banned? If you're asking why it never came to the states, it's because it wouldnt generate enough revenue to make it profitable. FF is way bigger in Japan than it is here.
I think he's confused and think's it was banned because he probably found in on a P2P program and it was titled "Banned Commercials - FF9 Coca Cola Commercial" or something like that because for some reason people get "banned" and "no longer shown due to age" confused, so just about every commercial you find on Kazaa/Warez/Limewire has been titled as a "banned" commercial, but alot of them really aren't.
But no, it wasn't banned.
I like Kung-Fu.
Its a shame it was never aired here in the states, but it does make perfect sense how it would be more effective in Japan and here, it would just be a waste of money because it wouldn't stand a chance against all the Music theme soda commercials.
Still a great commercial though and I'm glad you can download it.

It's all over the place - just google it or search for it on your P2P file sharing program. The music from it is also on the FF9 offical soundtrack as well.

It probably wasn't banned, just taken off the air, It probably wouldn't gross enough money. (FF isn't THAT popular)

It was never on the air anywhere except Japan to begin with, and the Final Fantasy Coca-Cola commercials have been very succesful there. They did a set with FFX as well.
