You'll do fine without it, as long as you're at reasonable levels, but by the time you get to it (if you do the SoC dungeons first) it will already be obsolete. (Lightbringer, Illumina, Ultima Weapon)

I already have all of those mentioned by abrojtm,minus the Illumina.....I already have the Masamune.........& WTF is Illumina? Never heard of that weapon..........grrrr to bad my GBA broke..........>=(

Light Bringer was called Illumina in Woolsey's translation of FFVI. They're the same sword.
Err sorry, I meant Ragnarock, Lightbringer, and Ultima Weapon.
