Some interested parties wanted to start up a 'white (caucasian?) man (not person, man) scholarship' at a university (unfortunately I forget which...Michigan state maybe?). Obviously the University would not condone it for political reasons, but they could not stop the interested parties from getting donations from third-party supporters. The general idea of the scholarship is that a sum of money would be donated to a white male student at the university based on an essay entry illustrating how being a white man has helped the person better the community, etc.

Needless to say there was an uproar over this, which I found totally hypocritical. The feminists and um...non-whites who fumed over this scholarship did not win, thankfully, and for that I was proud beyond words.

I never had Net Nanny (that's a horrible name...) but my parents tried to use the AOL blocker on me before when we had Compuserve and I got mad at them cos' I couldn't access my forums... XD

And as a side note, I'm proud of my parents and parents everywhere for putting up with their kids and not killing them ^_^
