Some interested parties wanted to start up a 'white (caucasian?) man (not person, man) scholarship' at a university (unfortunately I forget which...Michigan state maybe?). Obviously the University would not condone it for political reasons, but they could not stop the interested parties from getting donations from third-party supporters. The general idea of the scholarship is that a sum of money would be donated to a white male student at the university based on an essay entry illustrating how being a white man has helped the person better the community, etc.

Needless to say there was an uproar over this, which I found totally hypocritical. The feminists and um...non-whites who fumed over this scholarship did not win, thankfully, and for that I was proud beyond words.
