Thread: State Of Origin

    Default State Of Origin

There will only be a select few who know what State of Origin is, so I will explain it to the rest of you.

Here In Australia, we have 3 codes of football...NRL, AFL and Union. Every year, the NRL have this competition called State of Origin, where they get the best players of all the teams (who play representative, some of them just prefer to play for their normal teams) and they play a game of NSW (New South Wales) VS. QLD (Queensland). NSW are the Cockaroaces, the Blues, and Queensland are the Maroons, Cane Toads. Best out of 3 games. Tonight is the first game.

Now, I am a Blue living in Maroon territory (hey, I am just above the border), so I am abit outnumbered out here...

Who here follows State of Origin, and who do you go for?

I will tell you the score after the game ends, and will keep you updated as the other games are played!

    GO THE BLUES!!!!

I will let some one else answer, that, cause i dont understand...

Anyway, QLD won by 4....the score was 20-20 at full time, so they used the "Golden Point" Rule, which is the first person to score wins...QLD broke through our defence and scored a try, for 4 points.

    We haven't lost yet...best 2 out of 3!

The next game is on in a few weeks, so I will keep you guys updated!

I would like to see a Melbourne team with Billy Slater in it and such.

Anyway, I hope the blues win.

I like to watch it for the fights. Actually, I don't think I watch it anymore.

Yes! It is back! After 3 pages of searching, it is back! I said I will keep you updated, and I am!

The 2nd game is on tonight, QLD may of one the first one, but NSW are playing at home this time! And plus we are a better side overall!

Andrew Johns is returning for NSW...what do people think about this?
    Background Info:
Johns played 2 games this year and broke his jaw...He has been back for 1 game.
Last year, he injured his knee early on in the season, didn't play for the whole year.
Year before that, he had some injury, out for majority of the year.
Since 2003, he has played 14 game all up.
But he is an awesome player!

Do you think that he is ready for Origin? Or is he pushing it a bit far? I personally don't think he is ready, but I hope he proves me wrong! He is a really good player...just accident prone....
