Yeah, Pink Tails are extremely hard to get. As you have a 1/64 chance in fighting the pink poos and a 1/64 chance that they will drop one you have a 1/4096 chance to get one.
Although I don't know if it's 1/64 chance for the battle or 1/64 chance per enemy, so you might have a slightly better chance than 1/4096.
The adamant armour can ruin the game abit because its four times stronger than the crystal armour.
