Laptop CD drive problems

ok, i don't know when this problem first started, but now its there and I am unable to use my cd drive.

The light on my cd drive is constantly orange, and the cd drive won't pop open when i press the button on it. There isn't a CD in the drive, so i am at a loss as to how it could be 'busy'.
Plus there arent any actually noises coming from it.

Any help on this matter, and how it could be resolved, would be greatly appreciated.

Go to the Device Manager on your computer (assuming you're running a Windows OS) and see if the CD Drive has a yellow exclamation mark, indicating that something is wrong with your CD Drive. If it does, then it should at least give you a basic error message as to what is wrong.

Also, try taking the CD Drive out and pop it back in. The CD Drive might not be fully connected.
