I only ever played the console version when I was like five and I never play long enough to get past the second level on emulators.

If there is a Sonic Golf, that's my favourite.
If you haven't played the old school 1,2,3, and S&K, you just can't be considered a true sonic fan. My fav was Sonic 3 & Knuckles. With 4 selecable ways to play(one had you play with sonic & tails), and double the emeralds to collect, it was an all around awesome game. Twice the size too. Of course, the Death Egg was a blatent parody of the DeathStar, only with Robotnik's face on it. Anyway, yeah. That's the bestest one. On the genisis. With the hard-as-hell debug code.
Sonic 2 was the best but for some reason I prefered 3.

Chemical Plant Zone is my favourite zone from any of the Sonic 1 and 2 zones. I think it must be the zone with the most endless spinning through loops, which is the thing that makes Sonic games fun! I think more of the levels should have given you the opportunity for more long spinning. Just watching the zone fly past you. Wheee. <3Originally Posted by Hsu

The Sonic levels with water were annoying. You had to spend most of your time looking for an oxygen supply while you could be speeding your selfout of there.

Sonic & Knuckles was, and still is, my favorite. It was challenging, fun, and I have many fond memories of the time when I first played it.
Oh, yea. Thanks to Doomsday, I got a code to unlock all the characters and levels the first time I played it.
