RE2 is the best one I've played so far.
My favourite character would probably be Leon because he's just badass. I'm also in love with Claire Redfield.
Steve is probably one of the funniest video game characters ever, for the sole fact that he's a sissy and his voice actor sucks.

I like watching people play the RE games, but I'm not a huge fan of the series. They're good games, but I don't really get excited for each new title. I still haven't played RE4 (oh wait, yes I have...for about five minutes - I forgot).
money woes -- i have no RE4, but hey, i got SH4! RE: Nemesis is great, not "was". i'm going to play with GameShark as soon as i can find it.
