Default Danny Elfman vs. John Williams

Batman vs. Superman, really, when you come down to it.

    Danny Elfman

Pee-Wee's Big Adventure

Amazing Stories

Beetlejuice

Batman

Edward Scissorhands

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Sleepy Hollow

Spider-Man

Red Dragon

Big Fish
John Williams

Jaws

Star Wars

Superman

Raiders of the Lost Ark

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

Home Alone

Jurassic Park

Catch Me if You Can

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Only listed the stuff I've heard, considering Danny's composed for about a hundred flicks and John's done about two hundred. Did you know he's been doing this since the early fifties? The man is ancient.

Items like "Star Wars" represent the entire series, of course, etc.

Actually, for me, It's Nightmare Before Christmas vs. The Olympic Spirit.

The Olympic Spirit wins out so much it's not even funny.

    Go John Williams!

(maybe after we march a danny elfman field show I could change my mind)

    John Williams.
Hard decision, but I think I made the right one.

Agreed, but of the two choices available, I'd have to go for Williams.

John Williams, all the way. Danny Elfman's style is great, but Williams is the master.

The problem with Elfman is that you can pretty much tell when it's his score, or at least when it came to Batman and Spiderman you could. I vote Other Guy because I can't think of any movies outside Star Wars where I could recognize his sound, which means his works are at least somewhat more unique than Other Other Guy.
