Besides someone who avoids something because its popular is always going to be something as bad as someone who wants it because its popular.

I can agree with that. I just see it as a stronger statement than "I have $1" and, along with "I saved the world with my $1" being a pretty cheap statement, I'm not willing to make that committment.

Mayby the trick is give them a dollar and not take a bracelet.
