Every path has been taken, and yet none have. All things are possible, some just have an extremely low probability. But given infinite time, all things will happen. The universe, as far as I know, has always been and always will be, but may have blinked in and out of existence.

It is as I said, just a roll of the dice. All things are dependant on probability.
