I have IM conversations frequently. Generally only with a couple of people, but it is really handy. I use a program Trillian which allows me to connect to AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN (and I have two accounts on each, except ICQ). ICQ was my first IM program (before AIM, Yahoo and MSN existed)!

I mainly use MSN one HELLUVA lot, I'm near enough on it twenty four seven and talk to anone who talks to me, regardless if i know them or not. Though, if i get too bored, I'll often just text on my phone, that's a kind of IM right?

My beautiful baby MSN doesn't work so now I have to use Trillian.

Anyway, I let people IM me rather than me IMing them (Unless I have something I really need to say to them) as I figure if they want to talk to me, then they'll talk to me.

I usually start the conversations because most of the people on my MSN buddy list doesn't start a conversation with me first. Except for a select few.

usually, i only IM ppl first if im really close to them, and those ppl are the few ppl that i talk to regularly on AIM. sometimes tho, i talk 2 ppl, depending on their situation, ie if a friend is going thru drama, then i talk to them and try and help. or, sometimes i just feel like saying hi or good nite to every1, so i do that. takes me about 45 mins to IM every1, hehe :rolleyes2

I tend to wait on others to start IMing me, unless I want to talk to the person.

I'm hardly ever on AIM. I'm on MSN even less.

I used to IM alot, but haven't lately really. I anormally wait for someone to IM me, which is probably why I haven't IMed much lately... aw well.
