Default Make your own "Greatest Hits"

Do you ever compile a "Greatest Hits" collections of your favorite artist? I do it all the time; there just isn't a true "Best of Grace Jones" outhere as of yet. I've been struggling to put the rights songs on a 80-minutes disc, alas, I've not managed to cover her whole career yet. Which songs to include, which songs to exclude? It's a bitch I tell you. I'm still trying to compile the right "Greatest Hits" collection.

So do you ever compile a "Greatest Hits" collection?

I have six different John Denver Greatest Hits collections on CDs that I have purchased. I have one playlist on my mp3 player that contains his top 20 songs, going through his career.

    1) Leaving on a Jet Plane (1969)
    2) Follow Me (1970)
    3) Take Me Home, Country Roads (1971)
    4) Sunshine on my Shoulders (1971)
    5) Rocky Mountain High (1972)
    6) Goodbye Again (1972)
    7) Farewell Andromeda (Welcome to my Morning) (1973)
    8) Back Home Again (1974)
    9) Annie's Song (1974)
    10) Thank God I'm a Country Boy (1974)
    11) Windsong (1975)
    12) Calypso (1975)
    13) Singing Skies and Dancing Waters (1977)
    14) Some Days Are Diamonds (1980)
    15) Perhaps Love (1981)
    16) Wild Montana Skies (1983)
    17) Dreamland Express (1985)
    18) Flying For Me (1986)
    19) For You (1987)
    20) Eagles and Horses (I'm Flying Again) (1990)

    So yeah.

I have one for MC Chris. His skits are funny but when I'm driving I just want to listen to the songs.

If i created a greatest hits of Iron Maiden using only one song from each studio album it would probably look like this:-

    1. Sanctuary
    2. Wrathchild
    3. Run To The Hills
    4. Revelations
    5. Aces High
    6. Wasted Years
    7. Infinite Dreams
    8. Holy Smoke
    9. From Here to Eternity
    10. Sign Of The Cross
    11. The Clansman
    12. Ghost of The Navigator
    13. Wildest Dreams

wow that probably wouldnt sell at all

I have playlists that play my favorite songs of an artist. I never thought of them as Greatest Hits, though.

This is the sort of thing that Utter Perfection is for.

But it doesn't limit itself to just one artist.

I don't really have enough music of individual artists to make specialized playlists, but sometimes I'll put all my system of a down songs in one and listen
