    Default Tracy Chapman

I loved her debut album from 1988 "Tracy Chapman".
I remember hearing "Fast Car" on the radio and I was sold, her debut album was groundbraking.
Other than "Fast Car", "Talking 'Bout a Revolution" is another one of her best songs to date.

    Debut album from 1988.
5 time platnium and 5 time grammy winner.

    Any thoughts on Tracy Chapman?

I think she is a very talented and brilliant artist. I only own her debut album, though. I've been looking for other albums by her, but I guess I have not been lucky enough.

I was also sold when I heard "Fast Car", but also "Baby Can I Hold You Tonight" made a big impact on me back then.

Fast Car is one of my favourite songs, be it being sung by Tracy Chapman or covered by Vertical Horizon - it is just brilliant. I love it.

The songs I have by Tracy Chapman on my computer:
1933. Tracy Chapman - Baby Can I Hold You (3:13)
    1934. Tracy Chapman - Fast Car (4:56)
1935. Tracy Chapman - Give Me One Reason (4:31)
    1936. Tracy Chapman - Talkin' Bout A Revolution (2:40)
    1937. Tracy Chapman - Telling Stories (3:57)

I was going to mention "Give Me One Reason", but BoB's taken care of it.

I love Tracy Chapman. I have Crossroads, Telling Stories, A New Beginning, and Let it Rain. Can't decide which is my favorite, though.

She has a very unique voice full of emotion, although I'm a fan of more upbeat music like dance music, I have a few of her albums including crossroads, which is my fav.

Agreed. Reel Big Fish recently did a cover of the latter, but unfortunately made a bit of a hash of it I reckon.
