I tell ya, I even like Ludacris a little. The best thing about him is that he doesn't take himself seriously, he raps about random stuff and makes it even sound funny sometimes. That is sort of what I meant by "what they say", the subject of their raps. Rap isn't actual music but some people just know how to work it to make it interesting, thats it.

I think it takes a great deal of skill to be a rapper, moreso than singing. Have you ever heard someone freestyle? It's amazing.

I don't like most of the rap that hits the airwaves, but I do like eminem and some old stuff.

Have you people heard proper great RAP music or Hip Hop? Eminem and D12 are the only ones i like because they dont spam with Sexual matters in dideos and lyrics 100% of the time

Everyone says "oh rap sux it's all about teh OMG BLING BLING BITCHES HOES DUBS YO!" but then, you could say all country is "GOD USA GOD LOVE BESS AMERICA I LOVE MY DEAD DOG AND SHE THINGS THE TRACTOR IS SEXY" or about rock/alternative/Evanescence all being "OMG HATE HATE SELF ANGST DIE NO ONE LIKES ME I AM LONELY THE WORLD IS HORRIBLE!!1"...

...but all that really does is makes you look dumb and make the music your bashing look not so bad because the bashing is coming from someone who now looks dumb.

Ever listen to Sage Francis, Mos Def, Common, Blue Scholars, CasOne, Robbery Runamuk, Cypress Hill, N.E.R.D., Black Eyed Peas, The Roots, The Fugees, etc. They all have instrumentals, and lyric wise it's all good.

Rap/ Hip Hop is easier to dance to then rock. If you try checking out the stuff besides the ones Ive listed, like not so mainstream artists they are actually pretty good. I agree that 50 cent sucks, Lloyd Banks, etc. I really hate rap that degrades woman, and just talks about stupid stuff.
