Why Does Everyone Hate Wakka?

How can someone hate Wakka? He is the strongest character in the game.

Seriously, if you max out his strength and can hit for 99999 and get perfect attack reals, thats just scary.

99999 x 12 = 1,199,988 points of damage.

I thought he was a cool character myself. He had depth of character which is only enhanced in X-2. His accent set him apart from the rest of the protagonists. His combat abilities were great as well, his Blitzball being able to hit both flying and nimble enemies and attack at a range. And he was available for underwater combat. I can see how some find him irritating but I did not.

Last time I checked, everyone loved Wakka, and they bad-mouth Tidus. Wakka's okay, but he was such a jerk to the Al-Bhed.

If I recall correctly, he blamed them for his brother's death. Though it appeared to me as though he really blamed himself and was transferring the anger to them.

Well then, I seem to be the first person on this thread who actually doesn't like Wakka. I found him extremely annoying with his "ya" and the fact that he is such a religious fanatic. And he's an Al Bhed hater, and I like the Al Bhed. I've heard that he is strong, but I haven't used him enough to find out. I just really don't like this guy. Also, he punched Luzzu. True, he had a pretty good reason, but Luzzu in my favorite NPC, so that ticked me off.

I liked the character Wakka alright, but I was always annoyed by his choice of weapon. It would be like me taking a soccorball or football into combat....irritated me. I wish he had a boomerang or something of similiar flavor.... Oh well.

I like wakka ^^ and the al bhed thing-me if I was him I would h8 um to,he believed that sin was there because of machina and if people stop't using it sin would hopefully leave and the al bhed wwre still using machina so people to him were still being killed by sin because of them if i was him I woulda done more then h8 um but thats just me^^
