Do Emerald and Ruby Deserve Their Fate?

How do you figure Planet-blasting cannon-wielding Vegnagun would lose to the weapons? OK. YRP had an easy time defeating it. But the Weapons would have been easy too if they were the Final Bosses ^_^ besides, Vegnagun was not a single battle. Just like the fight against Sin in FFX, you have to fight this massive thing in sections.
The Weapons are huge, but Vegnagun is practically the size of Zanarkand which is three times bigger than Midgar.

A 4 year old child equipped with a toothbrush could easily have defeated Vegnagun. That's how patetic it was. The Size doesn't matter. Vegnagun can hardly move anyways.

If in FF7, you had the benefit of fighting the Weapons section by section, they would have been sooo much easier to defeat than Vegnagun.

Not really. Even Ultima Weapon which you actually fought multiple times, was tougher than Vegnagun. And Emmerald and Ruby are about 10 times as powerful as Ultima is in FFVII.

If 3 patetic, wimpy and freaky "Gullwings" can take down Vegnagun, then so can the Weapons.

umm bein as they whooped it up on me my entire 8th grade summer i havent beaten them even to this day....i hate then with the firey passion that everyone should....they ARE SIMPLY TOO STRONG...by tha way could somone plz help me with beating them.....i casted KOR on emerald for about 50 min straight....had final attack phoenix.....level 75 and up everyone.....the damn eyes kept regenerating....and i finally gave up

I have regretted it ever since being as that was the ONLY thing i have not accomlished in my 8 times of beatin the game plz help me

I think that it's a good idea to beat Emerald and Ruby Weapon, since you get the desert rose and earth harp for beating them. I suggest that you use Cloud, Yuffie and either Vincent or Barret (i prefer Vincent). It's the #1 party to use.

To Beat Ruby what I did was equip w-summon, hades, KOTR, and mime (with other components that are obvious such as cure). Then with only that character alive, use hades and KOTR and then mime. hades will sometimes stop Ruby and KOTR will of course makes tons of damage evetually killing ruby.

I never really considered the Weapons intelligent but... yeah, they are without a doubt smarter than a monkey.
