All those people who think that a fly is annoying because of the sound it makes clearly haven't heard a mosquito with its wings going at full throttle.

Exactly. Flies make "bzzzzz" but those damn mosquitoes.. they make a horrible noise more like "Wiiiiiiii"

I remember that when I was three, a fly flew into my nostril and stayed there for a second or two and then came out o_0 I was really confused cos' I was like, fly in my nose........... o_0 But mosquitoes are still worse ^_^

Mosquitoes!

When i go on holiday to Majorca i sleep on the balcony, Im well hidden behind the towel rack and its an apartment so its not a hotel.
At the time being it was great! I knew mosquitoes where around but they hadn't bothered me.

Until i came back to England..

After a day or 2 my legs were covered in loads of horribly itchy red spots.
I was back in school not so long after.
Mosquitoe bites are awful
I dont find flys annoying at all..
Just dont let them get to your food.
But urgh.. i hate Bee's.

I dont think Ive ever seen a mosquito in Ireland but theres plenty of flies and I loathe them and enjoy the staisfying sound of a fly swatter crushing a fly's corpse againts a hard stone wall.

Err, you only get Mosquitos in temperet climates. They don't tend to venture into Lapland or anywhere that far North or somewhere like that. Though with climate change the first mosquitos have been reported in Britain. So maybe they are evenetually getting here. Everything else mosquito shaped that bites you is it distant (no malaria transmitting) cousin the Midge Fly.

Mosquitos rarely give you Malaria. Flies always vomit on your food.

It depends on what type of mosquito. If it is a female Anopheles mosquito it will most likely give you malaria. Just infective mosquitos rarely make to the safe dwells of developed countries.
Then you have your other type of mosquito that gives you Dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever, which are not good either.

I would have to go with flys being better, than mosquitos considering the stuff they can give you and they make you itch. Though flies transmit disease too I am clever enough to throw away my food if a fly ands on it.
