The meaning of life is a preparation for death, whatever time inbetween is existence, in which you follow biological urges and bring more dying things into the world.

You are a gene reproducing machine and as such your goal in life is to impregnate as many women as possible or bear as many children as possible. Any other action is anthropocentric or maintenance (like eating).

Not to nitpick, but I'm pretty sure most Humans don't sit around and come to the conclusion that "I'm so awesome, I ought to have dozens of emotional states and spend a lot of time imagining things, all of which is completely counterproductive to the purpose of the species, just because I'm better than the rest of the universe!".

By the way, life has no 'meaning' per se, but the closest one can get to a 'purpose' is probably just to enjoy it as much as you can without treading on other's toes (Because it just makes sense not to; the greatest number of people can get the largest amount of enjoyment.). Whatever happens afterwards, if anything? Eh, I'll find that out when we're done.
