Anyways, Crono. He is the best all around. Maybe Ayla as she has the highest hit and most everything else can be supplimented with tabs.

Actually, the matter can be debated. Refer to the section "Chapter 8" for details. While it does note that "Chrono" is an acceptible Romanization, it deconstructs the notion that the name was inescapably "Chrono" in the Japanese version.
It was a tough choice, since I like all the characters and together they make an interesting and exciting pack. Marle, Lucca and Magus are the ones to me that stand out most, but I had to choose Marle, because she's the most like myself *haha*. Stubborn, a little-miss-princess, but she's also sweet and kind at heart (this has yet to be proven if it goes for me too xP).

Anyway, of the choices listed, I'd have to go with Magus, with Frog a close second.
I like Magus and Frog they're both cool and Frog has a nice Theme song but Frog is cooler than Magus anyway.

Magus is my favorite character, and I don't think Crono has anything to do with the name of the game because "chrono" is like another word for time

Magus by far. who doesnt love the dark antagonistic protagonist. and plus he just looks cooler than anyone else. and his weapons cooler.
The characters were very complex (Crono was silent, but he still had a wonderful personality ^^), but if I had to choose one, it would have to be Marle. She wasn't the stereotypical rebel princess. She was not spoiled, she was not naive, she was not helpless or weak. She was kind, sweet, courteous, and she was very brave. I loved her loyalty to Crono too. Those too were a great couple.
It surprises me, nobody said "Ayla" or "Marle"...
I'd choose Magus, he was neither in the good side nor in the bad side. He was there, fighting for his purpose.
