Bonsai Kitten

A friend gave me the link to this site, and I find it most disturbing. Those bastards stuff little kittens into jars so that they take on their form and then sell them as bonsai.
This has to be a joke, right? I thought there are laws against abuse on animals? What does everyobe think of this?
