Brief question about policy.
When threads go off-topic and get spammy, why not split the off-topic crap off to a separate closed thread instead of closing the entire thread? Just a thought.
(yes, I understand that Feedback threads can eventually have served their purpose, after which point closing them seems like a valid idea; this isn't just about Feedback threads though)
I like to delete the spam posts. It should be easier in vB 3.5 when we have inline moderation.

Splitting apart a thread is a hassle. I'd rather delete all spam so that there are only clean threads. And if anyone notices any of their posts missing lately, it is because they have been deleted and that should be an indication to you that you spam too much.

I think it's better to delete the spam posts than split the threads. Unless someone gives the staff a pay raise.

Delete stuff instead of splitting it, then, it's just I've noticed an abnormally large amount of threads being closed for getting off-topic lately and I think it can be avoided.
also, I agree with eestlinc about kishi, but that goes without saying.
