(SPOILER)I don't think her transition was too quick. I was actually expecting it. You can see evidence of Beatrix's suspicions of Brahne's underhanded scheme during the aftermath of Cleyra. Once she saw Garnet Beatrix's suspicions were realised and she decided to stand up for what she believed was right. After all, her alliegence was sworn to the princess, not the queen.

I liked Beatrix as a character. I only wish (SPOILER)the relationship between her and Steiner was explored a little more, which may well have happened if she became a fully playable character.
