A good nights sleep will actually help you retain the information better, probably moreso than drinking coffee to stay up an extra hour or two. Or maybe you just needed it to keep the subject from putting you to sleep. God knows I've almost passed out studying for various exams before. Economics is better than a sleeping pill.
