Well, I'm only... an ocean away, so I can't come. ;______; Sounds cool though, make sure you take lots of photos for the next meet up.

If I could make my way there I will. It seems like its a pretty far journey on the trains though...

It's all very well you lot up north complaining that Alton Towers would be too far away. But if we had a meet up near to you, then all us southerners would have to travel miles instead.

Anyway, Alton Towers sounds like fun. I'd certainly be up for going, and I wouldn't be against giving people a lift there providing they were somewhere inbetween my house and AT.

    Southerners get paid more.

But everything in the south costs a lot more, so it evens out.

And anyway, I'd meet up with you people but I hate all of you, what a shame.

It doesn't even out, actually. That's why people move to London. To get more money.

Also, as you point out, everything is more expensive in the South - meaning you're wanting us low-paid people to go to an expensive place instead of you better-paid Southerners coming up to where things cost less? Screw that!

The south is not the same as london, the south is people like me, London is cockneys like del boy. Prices in the south are about the same as north it's only house prices that are higher really

My house, a rather boring semi-detatched 3 bedroom house, is worth upwards of £350,000, on the average wages in the south, the first time house-buyer age is hitting on 40, younger if you're happy to spend your life paying off a mortage until you've retired, or even beyond.

Now tell me people move to the south so they can make more money.

    Southerners get paid more. :p
First off all, no they don't. And Southerners and Londoners are different things entirely, so that point is also rubbish.

Secondly, and more importantly, I'd have no problem with driving all the way up to scotland for a meetup, I'm just pointing out thatyou can't expect everyone down south to be prepared to come up there when you're not prepared to come down here.
