I love 1000 words, I think it is one of the best final fantasy songs, but i like the opening in final fantasy 8. I think it sounds a little cooler. I do not hate kingdom hearts, I just cant put any opinion on it. I have not played it yet for the reason i do not have a duleshock 2 controler. boohoo. lol. So i will put my opinion for that on when i get a duleshock 2 controller.
Yeah, so what, I'm a chick that plays Final Fantasy. Not my fault my dad got me hooked when I was little. Started with Final Fantasy Tactics, and now I'm on Final Fantasy X-2... And I'm only 14!

Anyway, I have many issues with this godforsaken tune. First of all, I don’t hate it because it was in English; past FF games have been able to utilize English words quite successfully in the past (namely Eyes on Me and Melodies of Life). However, all of the English lyrics sounded plain awkward in this song, it’s as if no thought whatsoever was put into matching the words with the music. Secondly, let’s take a look at some of the lyrics:
Urgh, it’s like Britney Spears discovering Christian rock music. Out of the 11 stanza’s, 6 start with “a Thousand words”. Yes, nice and subtle. I don’t think they directly said “Eyes on Me” once during the classic FF8 theme, and I they did it certainly wasn’t in the chorus. Dame it America, you did such a good job remixing Melodies of Life in English, why couldn’t you do the same with this song?Though a thousand words

I love 1000 Words and Simple and Clean both, but I prefer the Japanese version of the 1000 Words much better.... Jade has nothing on Koda Kumi. Nothing.

PPS.I hated the song. The video made me cringe and it was like one of those crappy plastic songs that someone like the cheeky girls does to get on top of the pops. I hate pop music in general...actually i hate pop music full stop. Those who like 1000 words have a taste in music i admit....just a very bad one

How can anyone hate the song 1000 Words??? I love it and im usually a person that listens to hard rock. Oh and Simple and Clean is good too but 1000 Words totally beats it.

Whatever the case, and whatever anyone else says, I still liked both songs. They were good.
