Really, if they can make a good movie I'm all for it. Video games have struggled to be recognized as an art form, which is a shame. Movie coverage, if done correctly, can show people that video games are not only here to stay, but also have a great deal of artistic value. Many video game plots are far beyond that of movies today, and I'd love to see a good adaptation of many good video games to the cinema.
If it bothers you that much, just ignore it. For one thing, it might actually be GOOD, and dismissing it immediately is foolish. Also, nobody is FORCING you to acknowledge its existence, you are simply riling yourself up over what is really not worth the time or effort.
