there was a picture here
Kyosuke was awesome in the original Rival Schools. Kyosuke + Roberto = PWNAGE. FP, FP, L+HK, rival launcher, super jump, BV2. I can't even tell you how crazy some of the battles in that game were. For some reason it's just about the most intense thing ever. You can just forget the arcade disc though, evolution is where it's at.
I voted Dead or Alive, but soon after I realized that I should have voted Soul Calibur. ;_; Or Virtua fighter...or 2D Fighters...GaHH!!
I VOTE FOR DEF JAM FIGHT FOR NY... its the most able fighting game.
I vote Shaq Fu

Soul Calibur definitely. Anyone who says it's too easy hasn't cranked the difficulty up all the way, and there's no way someone can beat Weapon Master mode by only button mashing. A lot of those challenges force you to look at the move list and learn new moves and strategies to beat an opponent, many of which you would have to extremely lucky to figure out by button mashing.I found it to be a very challenging game, and saw great reward in actually learning to use a character properly as it makes it much easier to beat the crap out of friends when you know what you're doing.
tekken because its characters have decent storylines and stuff.

The only character in Tekken I absolutly loved was King. You gotta admit King's the definition of a "good guy".
I never saw why people liked Soul Calibur so much. I mean sure it's a great game, but I wouldn't give it the best fighting game award. Nay, that goes to the Street Fighter Movie game.
All jokes aside, Virtua Fighter 4 would have to be the best in my opinion. The system works so that it's impossible to button mash and then win against real opponents. The problem with games like Soul Calibur and Tekken is that they're centered on power moves and if you button mash, you can pull off maybe 5 hit combos. Virtua Fighter 4 is pure fighting and really requires skill over memorization of combos and power attacks.
:monster2: One, AH! AH! Two, AH AH! Three, AH AH!
The last fighting game I played was Primal Rage (either SNES or Genesis can't remember >.<).
