The general forums get pruned, while the FF forums don't.
The staff forum never gets pruned either. You should see it, there are a few threads from 1963 still in there!

Well you could consider ARPANET, a computer network developed in 1969, the first internet of sorts, but since it used NCP protocol until the early 1980's you can't say it's the Internet. ARPANET switched to TCP/IP in the early '80's.
It wasn't called Eyes on FF back then. Back in the 60's this site was a gathering place for the supporters of the Civil Rights movement. I don't remember the exact name, so you should ask Raistlin for it, because he was still a member back then.
