FFT has one of the best story for strategy-rpg if not the best for console rpg outthere. The plot, in itself makes this game an instant classic. You just can't beat a main character who is willing to risk everything for the truth. At the same time, Ramza is probably the unluckiest character in FF series in being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I would really love to see FFT trillogy coming out in 2007 to celebrate the 10th year aniversary of this great game. And btw, FFTA is an advance BACKWARD type of game.

I've started calling it Final Fantasy Tactics Re-used sort of an agreement with Wiegrahf42, Adavnce I know is just to say it's on gameboy advance but that does make it sound like it would be better. the reason i'm calling it Re-used it because if you look at it, thats what it is, hunting for crystals, this time there are just 5 of them and they aren't so small but if you look at the screen, they still have the zodiac symbols carved into them, what kind of crap is that!?1 also I noticed that Marche does look suspiciously (who cares if I spelt that wrong) like Ramza, because of which I even named him that to respect the first game, I was ashamed of myself when I found out what a pansy Marche was. ok now It may sound like it because of how much I complain about it being inferior to the first one but don't get me wrong, I did not hate FFTRU, I spent about a week glued to my gameboy wanting to beat it, I will say this though, the main reason why I wanted to continue playing had to be Cid, we has to be the coolest character in that game...actually has anyone noticed that in several final fantasies, Cid is one of the coolest characters, I don't think he was in 8 and 10 (10-2) ok i'm gonna stop ranting now

ooh! yes, please do! youll be ashamed of yourself if you thought FFTA was even *remotely* fun, for the omnipotent power that FFT wields over it shall enthrall your mind from that day you buy it till your death! but thats just *my* opinion....

FFT is and will always be better than FFTA. I think the story in FFTA is pretty lame too.

FFT is kinda un-noob friendly though. It's hard to get into it if you happen to suck in the beginning. My brother hasn't gotten into it b/c he couldn't beat the second battle (didn't understand the adding party members thing. He was playing with just Ramza!

    I totally agree.

I just add in. the CT in Tactics was cool. The fact that spells weren't instantanoues was cool. The fact that you could be missed by helpful magic(life, prot, etc) was great.. though annoying at time.

Basically Tactics had more tactics in it. Though imagine tactics with something similar to the judge system. I know ya'all find it annoying but I actually kinda like it. It adds to the tactics somewhat.. however I do feel it needs refined. The no death is one thing that I find silly.. and the fact taht the judge always sees a wrong. It should be more of a rumour to castle deal where you may get cuaght.

Hmm. I've been skimming this thread, and it seems the main reason you people hate FFTA is that it's not the same exact game as FFT.

I enjoyed both games a lot. They both have their good and bad sides. I don't see any reason to get my panties in a twist just because FFTA has some elements that are different from FFT.

Well yeah FFTA is enjoyable.. but the instaneous magic casting wasn't as fun/challenging as before. They both had thier strong and weak points. I think a merger of the two would be great. Faith and Brave while basic added to the game... And the compatability was fun too. Add that in with a modified judge system, some of the mission importance, etc.. and well you could get one kick but game.

well, my personal opinion in response to DocFrance is in relation to the Bond movies. Sean Connery was the best. No contest. Then when Moore replaced him at a later date, he just couldn't reach the benchmark Connery set oh so long ago. Because it was the original, and theres no changing that. Yes Moore was a "Bond" who are all worshipped, as are Final Fantasy, but Moore isn't as liked as much as Connery or Bronson (I think thats his name, the most recent, but I hear that hes being replaced soon also)

Look from what i've been hearing since I started this thread, many people seem to assume that I did not like Final Fantasy Tactics Re-used. I didn't hate it, it had many good qualities. for instance I myself loved the Bangaas, and the Moogles were cool as well. but apparantly square got the idea that multiple species eliminated the ability to invite monsters. another thing I disliked and many people will agree with me here, is that there are no longer generic characters that you can name and call your own. ok enough of that. FFTR had some pretty good music, some interesting bosses and I myself loved the totema attacks (mostly adramalech because duh, he was in the first one) also I loved that FFTR has Tonberry's...even though you coulnd't invite them (grr...) but yeah both games had their ups and downs. for instance FFTR did not have nearly as many translation errors. and Khimbar...that was kind of a confusing example, though you do bring up a good point Connery was an excellent James Bond
