Ironic that the polished new battle interface actually looks better than the graphics.

But hey, that's SNK for you. They focus on gameplay first (even though half of their games are severely broken for tourney play =/)

Then again, they could be like Capcom and work on the graphics after the gameplay, that way it all balances out. But hey, they kinda have a right to be lazy, and so does Capcom. Making 2D fighter sprites is time consuming and takes a hell of a lot of work and money.

Chances are, with today's "ZOMG I GOTTA HAVE REALIZM LOLOLOL~!!!!11" mentality, their 2D fighters wouldn't make enough money to cover the expenses. And no, the hardcore fanbase is not enough to keep them alive. Remember what happened to SNK a while back? I rest my case. The only reason they came back is because another company bought them.
