I'm pretty sure it doesn't. Also, Odin has a much better level-up bonus (+1 Speed, and it's the only one that gives a speed bonus) than Raiden (can't remember what it was), so I usually don't upgrade Odin 'til I'm done upgrading people's speed. Not that it's at all relevant.
