No, it shows your ignorance. First, a lot of gun owners make it very well known that they own a gun. I particularly like the old classic "this house is protected by Smith & Wesson" sign you put on your fence/door. Second, not all bullets are immediately lethal. Last, if I'm shooting at you, it means you entered my property, without my permission and threatened me. Tough sh*t for you if you get hurt. That's similar to insulting me or my wife/family/friends.
