gibbi8, you wouldn't understand even if I tried to explain, so I'll just leave your comment uncommented... Okay I have to say one thing. Listening to only something that's "new" or "hip" or "in" isn't so civilized and "cool" as you might think. Would you also want to make 80's hip hop all "dead and gone" and "forgotten"? No, I wouldn't think so. Everything new in both hip hop and rock is based on those 80's (and earlier) artists, who were pioneers in their area.

    That said, continuing on.

Iron Maiden is one of the metal pioneers, along Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Motörhead, etc. the list goes on. That's why at I think they should be respected (even if not for the music, but for the guidance they've given to followers), even I respect those hip hop guys who started it all (though I don't know their names x)), even if I don't like the outcome of that development :D

It's a bit difficult to state one song over the other, because for one I haven't listened to Maiden so much, but also because there are many best songs, and it's a tough choice... Hmm. The Trooper, Fear of the Dark, Run to the Hills and Die With Your Boots On are all great songs. No-one has so much balls in their singing voice as Bruce does :P

I'm going to see their concert next month here in Finland \o/ can't wait to see it.
teeh, after this I've seen almost every one of the metal gods live :P only Black Sabbath (Why Ozzy why... why did you have to have that accident ;_;) and Motörhead are still left unseen.
