    It's a movie which really didn't have much more to do with the Final Fantasy series than the inclusion of a character Cid and a few other references I can't even remember. I kind of liked it, but it wasn't anywhere near being a cinematic masterpiece. A lot of people hated it just because it wasn't an FF7 movie, but hey, what else is new.

    It was written by Hironobu Sakaguchi, so it is Final Fantasy in this sense, but many felt it was not deserving of the Final Fantasy title. I've not seen it, and have heard mixed reviews of it, so I can't give any real opinion.

    i enjoyed it, and it had more final fantasy elements than just a character named cid, for example something resembling the lifestream, an alien invasion (jenova) etc
    but it wasnt great.
