Heh, my order always goes, from top to bottom: Kain, Rydia, Cecil, Rosa, Edge. I have no idea why, I just do it out of habit, I guess.

Artemis bow is dropped by Karys.

Crystal Ring (the best Ring) is dropped by Red Dragons unless you don't have them already.

Hmmm. Haven't found a Crystal Ring yet, but I always get Dragon Rings, though they're pointless because they're only worth 5GP and only Kain can use 'em. And haven't found an Artemis Bow yet either, but I guess I'd have to fight Karys for that, and those are found prettymuch only in the first few levels of the Lunar Subterranian.

Spellcasters take longer to level up than the fighter classes, and as a side note, you've thought WAY too hard about the order of your characters.

Actually I didn't think too much about it. When I get somebody, I'll just figure "eh, I'll put you here." As for the ending party, I figured I'd keep the guys up front and the mages protected, and I'd put Rosa by her man/men and Rydia by her man.

Alexander, you've got a decent setup there too, and a good point. However, since Kain has as many HP as Cecil does, I think he can afford to be in the front. And if I did it that way, I'd have to have Rydia in the middle--as I said, it looks better when she comes forward for a Summon.
