Grey or Gray?

I have a friend who's last name is Gray as well, so I assumed it was the wrong way to spell the colour.

Maybe your friend and my friend are related! Or maybe they're the same person!!!

Last names have nothing to do with the correct way to spell a word just because it shares the same pronounciation.

Yes, I know. I was making a joke. I still spell it gray, though. That much was serious.
