How useful is Coin against Ruby Weapon??

OK, I have over 6m gil, you know Ruby is one mean matha*****, and I just wanna get over with the game..

So if I throw my worthless gils (cause I never buy anything with 'em) at what rate (hp/gil) will Ruby be effected?

Or should I rethink my strategy

Rethink your strategy. The most damage you can do with any single attack is 9999. Ruby has many times that. Just watch what he does, think of what would be an effective counter, and prepare accordingly. Ruby is a sitting duck if you equip yourself right.

with ruby and any enemy on the game for that matter you want to be dealing 9999 damage every attack but dont use single attacks use combos like 4xcut or kotr and omnislah and stuff not just coin.

Ive said many times all you have to do to beat ruby weapon is w-summon with knights of the round 4 times.

I've beaten him in 5 rounds, thanks to mime, kotr and w-summon.. he's easier than I thought

right now I'm on my way to beat little sephy, I hope he's not hard

To beat Ruby Weapon all you have to do is equip W-Summon and Mime. Use Hades and Knights of The Round Table, and then Mime. Hades will sometimes stop Ruby and KORT will of course damage Ruby like crazy. You'll kill him in no time.

You need to beat Ultima WEAPON before Ruby will appear.

doest Ruby naturally have bad ass defense? or am i missing something completely? cause whenever i try to attack him, i did like 250 damage. well, except of course when he buried his claws. Am i the only one, or could someone please update me. im confused!!!

Before Ruby buries her claws she is practically immune to all attacks, physical and magical. The only time you can cause some meaningful damage is when her tentacles are in the ground. It is at this point you summon Hades and whatever else you wish to throw at her. She also has a tendancy to counter most attacks with Ultima, so paralysing or stopping her is recommended.
