.hack//sign was excellent. I have loved Bee Train ever since I watched Noir, and .hack did not disappoint.
Artwork: Beautiful and detailed. Characters stand out from the backgrounds a little much, but for once the CGI in an anime isn't completely obtrusive. A-
Animation: It's a talkie. It's slow-moving. In more ways than one. Everything moves well, it just doesn't get much of a chance TO move. B
Story: Amazing. Nothing like it has ever been done, and it will most likely never be matched by Bee Train or any other company. However, the pacing is slow. Painfully slow. Horribly slow. This show could have been less than half the size it was and done the story justice. B+
Voice Acting(Dub): Good. I've heard better, I've heard worse, but there are no glaringly annoying squeaky girls, there are no overly-masculine voices for men...it's solid, but certain lines could use more emotion. Subaru, Tsucasa, and Mimiru, however, do not have that problem. B+
Voice Acting(Sub): Amazing. Expressive, suiting, and it overall adds to the feel of it. A+
Music: Excellent. Yuki Kajiura had put together great tracks before this, but this one is her masterpeice. Ranging from techno to Gaelic and back again, it'll keep you interested and overall adds to the feel of the show. A+
Overall: A-
