But he needs to pay for his crimes. I would place justice over mercy any day. Saddam Hussein is one of the worst people alive today, and for him to cry about his "rights" being stolen from him (because he was seen in his undergarments) is to slap the face of morality.

Punishment at least make it something more plausible. I mean wth does taking pictures of him in his underwear do? -_-; If you are going to punish him, at least make it something sensible. This is just silly. By the time we make exceptions to rights, its going to be sad...just because he wasnt fair doesnt mean we dont have to be too you know?

If they violated his rights i hope he wins, if they didnt i hope he loses, human rights apply to those who didnt give them, also.

He may as well sue the people who decide his punishment because punishment is against his rights.

A moral person is both just and merciful at the same time.

Human rights belong to every citizen of this world, no matter how dispicable. Saddam Hussein deserves justice, and he will get it. But a violation of human rights (no matter who the 'human' is) is not tolerable.

Exactly. I don't really care about this particular case, but you can't single people out to void their individual rights.

Of course not. As I said, I hope he wins - and then loses the case when his people sue him for what he did to them.

I just find the whole thing far too ironic to take too seriously.

Of course it is - because if he can sue for embarrasement, some woman who Saddam killed her husband and used her son as a meat shield and torched her house could also sue for damages.

    It'd be pretty interesting.

Totally agree. If they don't, it makes us no better nor worse than that evil regime.

I find this more amusing then anything else. He's been deposed but he still thinks of himself as having status. Any tabloid worth it's salt has an army of lawyers, so he'll probably lose. He is in prison, but it's not like he can't still make money. Think of the Autobiography book deal.

rupert murdoch is a right wing idiot. his newspaper is one of the most poorly written, biased, flawed sheets of paper to call itself journalism.

it openly preaches against immigration, is plauged with nationalism, homophobic, anti-religious rights. and likes to be the judge and jury pf everyone.

the coverage it gives to pedophiles and it's overtly murderous words for them isn't very nice. it's obsession with pedophiles, asylum seekers, celebrity, mockery, gays, islam and breasts is just distasteful.

and being the biggest selling "newspaper" it influences a vast amount of people with these views.
