I believe they will, although to my knowledge, women are still excluded from combat situations. I could be wrong on all counts.

My sentiments precisely. I never supported this war, and it sure as hasn't done anything to make America safer, so there's no way I'm going to fight in it.

I suspect the US would lose a sizable amount of its population if the draft went into effect. Unfortunately, there will undoubtedly be a large number of people who want to evade the draft but don't have the economic means to do so, which means that poverty will only become an increasing problem in America in the future. Ironically, that might end up forcing more discussion about the issue, and thereby enable a better solution than what's being done right now (basically, nothing).
