Thread: Super-hard bosses??

  1. #16

    Default Not hard, just tricky!

I believe that a lot of the bosses are indeed quite challenging, but once you find the perfect method they're easy!
Being leveled up and knowing the best spells is all you need.

Anyone got a link to a hacked version of the game + a save state right before Czar? I hate to think that there is a optional boss I haven't beaten...

The "rumors" on that site are so pathetic it's hilarious. I just can't believe that there are people who think that other people will believe that crap. (Hopefully, they're not serious.)

As for any super-hard bosses, I guess you could try killing the Magi-Master without using berserk or rasp/osmose.

and also without life three because ive hard that hiws ultima does only 8000 or 9000 damage so if you have 9999hp and very high defences you can win without using rasp, osmose, beserk and life 3 apparently

I don't really remember having a problem with Magimaster; sure, Ultima was painful but my HP was at max when I took it and I just reflected everything else...

Of course it is all crap, that one part is the only true one, though.

I already beat magi-master first time, i thought he was easy i didn't know he was going to use ultima but luckily i had my newly aquired life3 on at least one of my characters. All his attacks apart from ultima are pathetic. I want to face CZARDRAGON!

    What is the expert version?

Trust me, they're not serious about it, it was meant to be a joke. The first hint should be this warning that's right near the top:

The only exception is that Czar Dragon part, which has a special note talking about how Czar Dragon can be found in the game's rom, before the actual rumor. The sad thing is though, that I've actually seen a thread or two where people asked how to do that stuff. >_< Oh well, if ye thought they were hilarious they did their job. There are a few other things like that as well if you look around enough but typically, the community's very anti-rumor spreading.

Anyway, onto the topic. Doom Graze has the highest HP and MagiMaster has a ton of tricks up his sleeve. However once you learn how to beat them all, none of 'em are ever as hard ever again. Honestly though, I think that for the first time through MagiMaster is like a super boss. He has an incredible array of spells, is kinda difficult to get to and with Wall Change and the special rule of the tower, has a darned near impenetratable defense. It's only once you bringing in cheap tactics such as wall rings, beserk and osmose into the mix. I'm talking about normal game levels though of course. Once you're at 99, there's nothing left to do but kick the snot out of kefka to watch the ending sequence. Oh well, that's what self imposed challenges are for now aren't they? =)
Look, I'm a strange person. When I was younger, nothing used to make me laugh any harder then when somebody made fun of me. Unfortunatly for me, my mockers looked at me strangely and stopped when I did this. Go figure.

If using a rom, i recommend this patch.(not made by me)

There is a new boss replacing hidon named genesis, who has around 2,000,000 HP and casts grandtrain, meteor, and quasar quite a bit, and with a high magic stat, kills the entire party without life 3, and it casts these spells randomly.

Kefka is pretty tough in this hack even when completely maxed out with the best weapons/armor/all spells. I estimate around 1.5 million hp, and he also likes to wipe out the party rather frequently with hyperdrive, ultima, meteor, etc.

The Czar Dragon you can also fight, and the maker of this hack gave him around 800k hp and a really cheap attack script, his stats don't help either.

Every enemy has higher stats/hp, and some of the attack scripts are pretty damn tough to follow. A great hardtype hack overall.

    I couldn't resist.
