Squaresoft created a story.
Since this is not a veridical fact it don´t makes sence to say that Square is "lying".

Unknowns's story reflects perfectly what you are saying. The charater lies. The "script" doesn't. Answer me this question (MAKING IT CLEAR THAT THIS IS A QUESTION SO YOU'LL ANSWER): What is the script to you? Because last time I checked the script included everything, including character dialogues.

Square puts some characters lying.They lie because Square wanna them to lie.Because Square intended some thruths behind the story and put some characters lying about it.It´s not like in your story In your story the facts contradict what the narrator says.
In the story of FF8 there is not even a narrator. Not even the information section of the tutorial appears as a narrator but as a sum of the information acquired in the game.

Look, you still are not in any place to say that because you don't know where the information in the tutorial comes from. And you said before that there is information in there the citizens didn't say but now you are saying there isn't again.

In that game the information that appears on Van Croys notebook was not from the narrator.It was information Van Croy has acquired and writed.In this case Lara Croft reads the information and knows what
awaits her.And she also write there the information she acquires through the game.If Von Croy hadn´t meet Eckhardt this information would not appear on the notebook.Which means this was not a narrator information since the narrator would know everything that happens on the game.

Riiiiight except that was a NOTEBOOK that makes it explicitly clear that CHARACTERS WRITE in it. Where in FF8 does it say that people all over the world write in Squall's tutorial? O_O

The screenshot I will take is just one screenshot and is a monologue from a secondary character.

I really think his theory threads should be removed because like you said, he is not showing us any respect by getting his facts and definitions straight and he refuses to consider that someone else might be right and he calls US closed-minded. Not to mention the fact that it has already been established that these aren't theories but fan-fiction, which belongs in a totally different forum.

And another thing: stop making up characters! Where does this 'X' come from besides your head? It seems like you justify everything by saying X did it like you can explain everything that you can't explain logically by creating some faceless, nameless character and boom! Your theory suddenly works. You can't just insert characters into an established game that has its own set of characters. The R=U theory is a theory, yet it doesn't add any characters or anything but is supported by in-game facts, unlike your "theories".

He's referring to how Ultimecia seems just thrown in at the last minute and how we have never seen her before (for example, we know Sephiroth and Kefka throughout their whole games and have grown to know and hate them). We never see Hyne even once.

But the second question.Do you think the narrator believed something about the storyline?
I am pretty sure he knows everything he wanna to put on the storyline,no?

Not even the Esthar scientists were able to determine how many sorceresses exist.And people believed that they avoid spreading their powers too thin.
It´s obvious this is information learned by people (and some of them is doubtful information as we can see).People in FF8 think about what could be thruth.
Of course this is not the case for the game writer since he is the game writer.

That one section doesn't really apply because it starts with "The Legend goes..." so it's obvious that it's information from the people.

And I never said you were wrong that the tutorial only gives info that the people of FF8 know so far. Of course they won't tell the player everything. But the narrator also will not refer to FF8 as a game:

The junctioning thingy you can go figure it out yourself and instead of wasting time saying how much HP increase if I junction fire to HP.
You know how much pages it will take to explain every single effect of magic junctioning to each stats and that is where game guides came in.
They taught you the basics of junctioning and that is enough.

It is really pointless to said that there is actually a sorceress hidden in whorehouse of Dollet and there is another one hiding in the toliets of Balamb and another one....just like when you fought those sorceress during time compression, it is pointless to point out, for example, the first sorceress came from Balamb 5000 years ago and her hobbies and vital statistics are......

I just said that the information at the information section of the tutorial can not be things that the writers state as thruth or something they intended to the story.
It has to be information learned by citizens throghout the game and hence the incertainty on the picture.They said "it is believed" which proves my point.
The writer know everything from the beggining to the end.Or do you think he had amnesia in the middle?
