Well thats lovely but how is it only you can recognise what is a lie and what isnt? Theres never an event or another character to contradict the characters statements. And yeah FE, Sorry to shock you but its a video game. If a character states it unless at some point in the game its explained that the statement was false then you can assume its true.

So you don´t believe that Square intended to keep many hidden things about the storyline?Things so hidden that most of them will remain unnoticed even for the best observers.

In your story the facts contradict what the narrator says.
In the story of FF8 there is not even a narrator.
Not even the information section of the tutorial appears as a narrator but as a sum of the information acquired in the game.

In that game the information that appears on Van Croys notebook was not from the narrator.It was information Van Croy has acquired and writed.In this case Lara Croft reads the information and knows what
awaits her.And she also write there the information she acquires through the game.If Von Croy hadn´t meet Eckhardt this information would not appear on the notebook.Which means this was not a narrator information since the narrator would know everything that happens on the game.

You still havent taken in what I said. If there is no event or text from another character contradicting someone elses information then it is not a lie. You however have gone and decided what statements were through and what were false with no information backing you up and made up fanfiction/theories with nothing from the game to suppoert it.

Theory:The promised land is exactly on Midgar.Not on the northern crater.

Evidence:There were many Mako reactors on Midgar.Which means this is the place with the most Mako.

Having a lot of Mako reactors doesn't mean that is a lot of Mako in Midgar cause the HQ of Shinra is situtated there and they have to make their city flourish which required a lot of energy so they drained every bit of energy using the eight reactors from the earth itself to support the energy needed for the various sectors. That is why the ground around Midgar is a barren of wasteland.

And do you know President Shinra intended to build other Midgar in the promised land? Cause he realize the mako in Midgar is nothing compared to the promised land which is the northern crater.
