I'd think an event involving concerts in 10 countries,5.5billion people and over 160 acts would have been acknowledged by even the most uninformed.

How do I not know about it? Let's see, maybe because I don't listen to that kind of music. Don't assume just because you know about something that everyone else does.

And for the record I had heard of that concert, but I'm not familiar with the name or who all is playing, as it's generally below my radar, so to speak.

but for most people it is not about the music. i don't like the artist either (except i don't like mondays.) but what is so important and big about it is not the people involved or the songs they sing. but the message for which they are there.
