This has been discussed numerous times before and we've always come to the conclusion that we aren't going to make an exception to the word filter just because some Japanese dude has a funky name. Besides, you can always use the html tag trick to get around it, like I get around the f-bomb filter in staff.
Or it could be that clout and/or BoB are terrible admins.
