NES FF1: Limit breaks: When your patience hits your limit, you break the controller. Summonings: "I'm stuck. I'll go get my brother."

let's see, no Holy in FF1
No flare in FF1 originally, but i guess Nuke is flare if you want
definitely no Cid in FF1
Definitely no main characters in 1, 3, 6 (even technically 2, 5)
definitely no limit breaks before 7 (unless you include 6 but eh)

No summon until FF3
earth doesn't blow up (or change it all or is threatened of being changed at all) in F1,2,3,4... or universe die in 1,2,3,6,7,8

Was there Imp after 6?(enemy or spell) I don't remember....

I don't remember bombs in ff1... except the TNT

let's see, an FF constant huh, how about music... male and female characters (not necesarilly PCs..2,3) Fighting classes and magic classes and balanced classes(classes/characters)
Potions, Inns, Item shops, weapon shops, magic shops,

OOOO.... goodguys that become bad or bad guys that become good

And they all have an ending!

He Obviously never played any of the FF's before 7.

ff6 had both summons and a type of 'limit break'

FFI: Garland
FFII: Lionheart
FFIII: I never got that far in FFIII
FFIV: Golbez and Kain
FFV: I never got far in FFV either
FFVI: hmmmm... Shadow... sorta...
FFVII: Sephiroth, Reeve, and Heidegger

FFVIII: Edea? Maybe... I'm NOT counting Rinoa!
FFIX: Amarant and Lani come to mind, but the obvious one is Queen Brahne.
FFX: Does becoming Sin count?
FFX-2: Never played it.
FFXI: not far enough into the plot to know.
FFCC: The dark knight I guess
FFMQ: No one that I can recall offhand...
FFT: Never got that far in it

-The fact that no matter how many times you rest in that Inn, that emminent plot event that is supposed to happen at _____ o'clock won't happen until you make it. (i.e. The North Bridge is built, Emperor destroys some city, etc).

-Pressing the action button to trigger events.

-The ability for at least one character to use a sword (I guess this has already been mentioned :rolleyes2 )
